The hospitals and medical services in Bali, Indonesia are extremely advanced, with air ambulances, multilingual staff, and specialists in difficult emergency disciplines all represented on the island. To reach emergency services from anywhere on Bali, you can dial two emergency numbers: 118 for ambulance services, and 112 for operator-assisted general emergency services.
1. Sanglah Hospital
Sanglah Hospital is Bali’s main public facility. Despite its public status, Sanglah is well equipped, with an International Wing ready to serve tourists. Sanglah’s doctors handle the island’s most difficult and critical cases.
2. Bali Med Hospital
Bali Med Hospital houses about 57 specialists well versed in meeting international patients’ needs. The hospital promises affordable service to both foreigners and locals.
3. Prima Medika Hospital
Another hospital in Denpasar, Prima Medika offers 100 beds and experienced physicians in over 30 specialties. English is widely spoken, and a medical coordination office serves the needs of international patients.
4. Kasih Ibu Hospital
From its origins as a maternity clinic, Kasih Ibu Hospital now provides over 80 beds and a wide variety of medical services to tourists through its international division. Its maternity services are still very highly regarded on the island. The hospital’s International ER and Alarm Center teams cater to English- and Japanese-speaking patients.
5. Surya Husadha Hospital
Surya Husadha Hospital offers international-level healthcare with over 200 full-time and consulting physicians, concierge services and luxury accommodation. The primary facility houses a number of specialized centers, from endocrinology to urology.
6. International SOS
International SOS serves tourists with comprehensive medical services and emergency services 24 hours a day. The clinic provides multilingual staff and access to one of the world’s largest fleets of air ambulances.
7. BIMC Hospital
Founded as a clinic in 1998, BIMC Hospital expanded into a full-service medical facility, with six consultation rooms, 31 hospital beds, an operating theater, and four intensive-care beds. The BIMC fleet is equipped with three ambulances and a first-response emergency motorbike.
8. Toya Medika Clinic
Ubud-based patients can call on Toya Medical Clinic, which can be found between Pengosekan Gas Station and the ARMA Museum/Resort. This Ubud clinic offers emergency medical care 24 hours a day, with four doctors and four nurses on standby.
9. Ubud Clinic
Ubud Clinic offers a bilingual staff, pharmacy and 24-hour emergency services in Ubud; their clinic is on the west side of Jalan Raya, just before the Campuhan Bridge.
